This old “Filling Station” (which is what they called them in those days) sits on an old stretch of Route 66 in Tulsa. Dilapidated and sagging here and there, it is still a reminder of more optomistic times when the adventure of the open road was still new and a great way to see the country. I am told that this station also sold Hot Dogs and probably a few groceries which made it a true forrunner of the convienence store. The pedestals for the gas pumps are still there but no idea of the tanks are still around.
